Proscenium Arch Cases
Proscenium arch cases light from the top and down both sides of the case. The light is arranged like a theater with light not just from above, but down the sides of the open curtains to create shallower angles and more drama and control. See photo examples below.
Fiber optic lighting is small. There is no heat. So the luminaires and the fiber can hide behind a case’s mullions.
From new cases to retrofitting cases, installing NoUVIR fiber optic lighting…
Pick fiber optic floods, spots, or pinspots all with AZ-EL mirrors on 90° brackets. The bracket causes the luminaire to hide flat against a surface, mullion, edge or shelf with the fiber laying flat where it is not seen. If the case has large mullions, only a 90° bracket luminaire will work.
Or pick a track or bannister. Usually CORNER-TRACK™ track is preferred with a 1/3rd mix of track floods and a 2/3rd mix of track spots. If the case has large window edges, use FLAT-TRACK track.
FLAT-TRACK™ track is super easy-to-install and is incredibly flexible.
Remember that SQBR SQUARE-BAR™ Wall Washer can be used in an arch design. If the case is more tall than long, the washer can be installed on each side of the case. Bare fiber can also be used as long as there is enough distance to spread the light from each fiber to minimize scallops. Cut the fiber at a 45 degree angle. The delight of using a SQBR Wall Washer instead of just fiber is that there are no scallops, just smooth light, even close to the bar. Adding a few spots for highlighting is common.

The compact size of fully functioning luminaires that aim, zoom beam size, dim and can even be filtered, so small they hide behind mullions as they are fiber optic, gives you the command of a theater director…making proscenium arch cases produce stunning lighting.
Why? You can be dramatic. You can be subtle. You can balance light. You can highlight. You can wash. You can spotlight. You can mix lighting techniques. And through the years, you can readjust over and over again.
